R Map is available as a web application at www.rmap.in and as an Android mobile application. The platform serves property buyers, owners, real estate agents, builders, and industry professionals across India.

OTP Authentication & Security

R Map uses OTP (One-Time Password) verification via SMS for secure user authentication. When users register or log in to the platform, a unique OTP is sent to their registered mobile phone number via SMS. The user must enter the OTP within 5 minutes to complete the verification process.

OTP is generated and used for the following purposes:

  • User Login — OTP is sent via SMS to verify identity when users sign in to R Map on the web or mobile app
  • New User Registration — OTP is sent to verify the phone number during new account creation
  • Phone Number Verification — OTP confirms ownership of a mobile number linked to the account
  • Password Reset — OTP is used to securely reset account credentials

OTPs are rate-limited (minimum 1 minute between requests), expire after 5 minutes, and allow a maximum of 3 verification attempts to prevent misuse. After successful OTP verification, secure JWT tokens are issued for authenticated platform access.
